The fresh, un-biased opinion of a professional mastering engineer is essential in making your recording a solid entity that sounds good, balanced and open in a variety of different listening environments. A mastering job of good quality is not arguing with the music and does not lose anything essential from the original spirit - it supports the personality of the recording.

My mastering room is an acoustically excellent space designed by Mikko Joenpolvi of Akukon Oy. The monitoring is based a pair of Quested VS2108 active midfield monitors, quality converters from Lynx Studio Technology and the neutral-sounding Virtalähde MTC-2 mastering console - designed by me.

The equipment I use is either built or heavily modified by me for optimal use in mastering. The signal path is extremely short, unbalanced and sonically neutral (when necessary!). Each piece of equipment is optimized for it use.
